This restaurant opened in 1996 as an expansion of the original in neighboring La Conner. Mount Vernon's location blends the excellent traditions of the original restaurant while focusing on the flavors of a new location. The Calico Cupboard of Mount Vernon is located in what used to be an old grainery building, connecting the restaurant to its roots in the local farming community.

Soups, salads, sandwiches and baked goods are all made from scratch daily in response to customer's wishes. The upstairs mezzanine creates a private dining experience where you can enjoy the customer-picked favorites such as our Washington Turkey Sandwich and our famous Apple Dumplings. Our menu and service is a reflection of our pride in locally produced food and the variety this area provides.

We cheerfully serve patrons breakfast and lunch Monday through Friday from 7:30AM to 5:00PM. We are open Saturdays until 7:00PM and close Sunday at 4:00PM. The staff at Calico Cupboard welcomes you to Mount Vernon and hopes you enjoy your stay with us.
